Constructive criticism is a funny little thing. Most people believe that they accept criticism or feedback well but in my experience as a manager I have seen people struggle with it. None of us were made perfect and we all are prone to falter from time to time. Feedback from our loved ones or superiors is virtually the only way to know what needs to change in order to grow and develop into the people we have the potential of being. Often times the key to success lies in our adaptability to change and our ability to accept feedback.
Have you ever woke up on the wrong side of the bed mumbling through your morning until you reach the office where things quickly go from bad to worse? What contributing factors caused this negative series of events? It’s simple…your attitude. Your attitude conveys to the world how you wish to be treated. Stop the blame game and use the opportunity to help improve and learn from situations. Smile even when your frustrated with people’s short sightedness. Focus on the big picture of life and don’t get hung up on the little things. Lead by example and show the world a positive response to what ever comes your way.
The events of today were more challenging then the previous days, somewhat hindering my ability to walk on the positive side of life. But thankfully, my husband was here to remind me that sometimes things happen that ultimately will end up working for me in the future rather then against me. The obstacles presented before me are hidden opportunities that I must first learn to over come in order to take advantage of.
There isn’t much we have control over in our lives, except for our ability to choose. I choose to accept that life is all about change and to do my best to embrace, learn from, and grow to be a better person as a result of it. I choose to look on the bright side of every situation, to see that with every challenge brings the opportunity of finding a solution, and to take a walk on the positive side of life for a change.
Through my writings I want to encourage readers to take a walk on the positive side of life, sharing my positive experiences, and happy thoughts along the way.
